The Winter Season is winding down and Suzanne and I had the opportunity to relax on the porch at Stardance, North Captiva Island on this past Sunday and watch the bird activity. We saw the normal Pelican patrol doing their thing floating over the rooftops of the bay side homes looking for food. There was a lot of Osprey activity as many at times as four gliding around looking for food. There was one suicidal crow attacking the osprey and several flocks of ibis.
On a different note, we saw the new baby manatee born last week in the airport canal dockage area. Manatee's are always nice to watch their relaxing nature.
